Lagos state governor, Babatunde Fashola, who visited the site of the jankara market oko awo firecracker explosion on boxing day. The incident which razed about 15 buildings and killed an 11 year old boy. The governor vowed to purnish the owner of the building which the crackers where lodged.
Also, lagos state is one of the states in the country that placed a ban on firecrackers and works including kaduna.
